How Do You Know Where Your Bulb is Made?

All products that are manufactured are legally required to have a "country of origin" label, and that label must be in a conspicuous place. The label must be legible. It must also be as indelible and as permanent as the product will permit. The label should be on the product itself but may also be on the container for the product. In the case of light bulbs, sometimes the country of origin is on bulb, sometimes on the package for the bulb. Exceptions to the country of origin labeling include raw materials, products for which it is impossible to attach a marking, products manufactured twenty years before importation to the U.S., and products imported for the importer only and not for sale in the U.S.
